Growth: Small, compact, clump-forming perennial from the woodland understory. Grow in moist, humus-rich soil in partial to deep shade. 

Characteristics: A rare native, threatened by invasive species and/or degradation of forest habitats. Small, arching, yellowish green flowers appear in spring over delicate, lobed, bright green foliage. A woodland gem!

Leaves have a slightly musky scent.
