Growth: Clump-forming, spreading, erect. Grow in the herbaceous border, cottage garden or in a naturalized setting.

Characteristics: Blooms late spring to early summer. Performs best in full sun, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Can spread into colonies – divide every 3-4 years. 

Attracts bees and butterflies. Excellent cut flower.

Colours: Purple-centred, white-fringed, thistle-like flowers on sturdy stalks over grey-green lance-shaped leaves.
