Growth: Bushy, clump-forming with erect, unbranched stems. Grow in the herbaceous border, cottage garden or in a naturalized setting. 

Characteristics: Blooms early to mid-summer. Deadhead to encourage flowering. Self-seeding. Performs best in full to part sun and moist, well-drained soil. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Excellent cut flower.

Colours: Round clusters of scarlet red flowers atop sturdy stems. Fresh green foliage.
