Growth: Upright, clump-forming with erect stems. Grow in the herbaceous border, cottage garden or in a naturalized setting.
Characteristics: Non-stop bloom from mid-summer to early fall. Performs best in full to part sun and moist, well-drained soil. Less susceptible to powdery mildew than other cultivars, however, maintain good air circulation around it and don’t let it dry out. Fragrant foliage may be used in salads, flower petals dried to make tea. Attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Colours: Dark green, fragrant foliage. Large, scarlet red flowers set on top of a whorl of dark purplish bracts.
