Growth: Cushion-forming, spreading by rooting stems. Grow as an edger in the herbaceous border, herb garden or cottage garden or as groundcover in the rock garden or between stepping stones. Performs best in full sun and average to dry, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant.
Characteristics: Aromatic foliage can bear foot traffic. Flowers are rich in nectar and attract bees and butterflies.
Colours: Clusters of mauve flowers bloom just above the foliage in early summer. Leaves are small, pointed, glossy blue-green, turning bronze in the fall.
