(Yellow wood trillium)

Growth: Clump-forming, naturalizing denizen of the forest floor. Grow in part to full shade, in the woodland garden, naturalized area, or under trees where it will get sufficient moisture.  

 Prefers moist, humous-rich soil.

Characteristics: Slowly spreading by rhizomes. Goes fully or partially dormant by late summer. Do not disturb unless well-established.

Colours: Slightly lemon-scented, canary yellow flowers with narrow, upright petals atop a three-leafed whorl of rounded dark green leaves mottled with silvery-green.
