(Shooting Star)

Growth: Clump forming, with a lush basal rosette from which erect, leafless stems arise. Prefers part shade and moist, humus-rich soil. Grow in the herbaceous border, cottage garden or in a woodland setting. 

Characteristics: Rosy pink, nodding flowers with 5 swept back petals and a cluster of stamens forming a sharp downward facing “beak”. Attracts bees and bumblebees.

Goes into dormancy in summer, so grow amongst other plants which will cover its space.
